Failed App-schema REST export

Added by Francisco Caldeira over 2 years ago

Hi all,

I'm testing the Export Alignment to PostGis/Geoserver.

I tried in 2 different Windows machines with Hale 2.9.4

I have a Geoserver 2.8.2 (in Linux and Windows 7 too, both of them reported the error) and PostGreSQL/PostGIS database version 9.5

The error is:

[12:29:32] org.apache.http.client.HttpResponseException: Not Found org.apache.http.client.HttpResponseException: Not Found
at org.eclipse.jface.operation.ModalContext$
Caused by: org.apache.http.client.HttpResponseException: Not Found
at org.apache.http.client.fluent.Response.handleResponse(
... 7 more

any ideias?

Hi Francisco,
judging from the error, it looks like HALE is getting a HTTP 404 (Not Found) error from GeoServer when it attempts to create secondary namespaces... could you please double check the "Target URL" you entered in the "Export destination" dialog?

It should point to the base URL of your GeoServer, something like http://<host>:<port>/geoserver

Best regards,

Hello Stefano,

Thanks for the reply.

I'm pretty sure about the base url in my Geoserver (, you can test the access the url.

I noticed that App-Schema REST Export created in the geoserver a Store type Application Schema DataAccess. which I assume it's ok.

But if in Geoserver I try to add a layer of that store I receive this error:

Could not list layers for this store, an error occurred retrieving them: java.lang.RuntimeException: Unable to obtain connection: Cannot create PoolableConnectionFactory (FATAL: no pg_hba.conf entry for host "", user "XXX", database "XXXXXXX", SSL off)

Could this be connected? It looks like It can't login the PostGreSQL/PostGIS database rigth?
